Installing your new hot tub marks the start of many blissful years of relaxation with your nearest and dearest. Locating the perfect spot for your spa is crucial. It is easy enough to select the location, pour the concrete and enjoy…but why settle for average? You can make your perfect backyard a reality with a little research, inspiration and creativity. Design your space and make a plan. These will be the stepping-stones to creating your perfect spa environment.
1. Design by Inspiration. There are many places to look for design inspiration. Vacation destinations. Photographs. Vintage homes. Magazines. No matter where you get this inspiration from, make sure it is something you love before making a final decision, as this space will become your oasis away from the world.
2. Create a Look Book. A look book is somewhat of a wish list of items compiled into one convenient spot. It is ideal to start a look book well in advance of the time you actually buy your spa. An easy way to create a look book is to create a Pinterest board. Pinning items you like is that simple!
3. Render Before You Renew. Sketch out what you’d like your backyard to look like. Measure your yard and all of the items you plan on placing in it. Use a ruler and graph paper in order to be precise in your rendering. This practice can save you from any potential mistakes you could make in the placement of items in your yard.
